System Service and Maintenance

A poorly maintained system can lead to downtime, and leaves workers open to exposure to hazardous contaminants. A planned service schedule with us will help spot issues before they become bigger problems

Do I Need a Service Inspection?

A service inspection covers a range of maintenance checks of components to ensure that your system remains in top performance. These include checking fan belts, bearings, filters and ducting. Where issues are spotted we can act to repair them quickly. This maintains system performance and means that your system is more likely to pass it’s LEV TExT.

A service inspection is not a legal requirement like LEV testing is, however it is highly recommended that some sort of maintenance program is in place in order to keep your system in good working order.

This document from the HSE details your responsibilities as an employer in checking and maintaining your LEV system.

Why is a System Service Important?

It Helps To Prevent Unexpected Costs

Inspecting and maintaining your LEV system in good working order can help to resolve issues before they become bigger problems, saving you money on more costly repairs

It Ensures Your Workers Are Protected

A fault in your LEV system could potentially leave your workers open to exposure to hazardous airborne substances. Regular maintenance helps to prevent this and keeps your employees safe.

It Helps You To Remain In Compliance With H&S Regulation

HSG 258 states that all LEV systems should be maintained "in an efficient state, in efficient working order, in good repair and in a clean condition". Regular inspections ensure you remain in compliance with this key piece of guidance.
